ABA Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
ABA Therapy is an intensive therapy (10-35 hours/week provided in a variety of settings) designed to assist children with autism or related disorders with daily living skills, language and communication skills, self-care skills, play and leisure skills, social skills, community participation, safety skills, self-management, challenging behaviors, and aggression and self-injury.
In-School ABA Therapy
Many children attending school need additional support to aid them in their communication and behavioral needs. With the school’s approval, following an ABA Assessment with clinical rationale for school-based services, we can provide a 1:1 Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to work in the school with your child. School based ABA Therapy involves collaboration with the school and teacher(s) to be successful.
Center-Based ABA Therapy
Hummingbird ABA Therapy operates the only ABA Therapy Center in Centre County. Many of our clients benefit from intensive ABA Therapy in an individualized environment to prepare them for school or other settings. Our center is located in State College and is often a preferred therapy setting for our clients where they can receive their services in a safe and therapeutic environment.
