Experienced Therapists
Our occupational therapists are experienced with a variety of needs and conditions, especially those with sensory needs, fine motor skills, and motor planning skills.
We currently have a waitlist for OT services. We are able to take Capital Blue Cross or Highmark BCBS insurance or have families pay privately for OT. For families interested in scheduling an evaluation with our occupational therapist, please email OT@hummingbirdaba.com.
Billing for OT services is different from the process for ABA. We are able to take Capital Blue Cross or Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield insurances or Private Pay. We do not accept Medical Assistance for OT.

Occupational therapy requires a referral from the child's doctor requesting occupational therapy. Once we are about one month away from being able to see your child for OT services, our intake coordinator will reach out to you to gather any necessary information or documentation, and verify your insurance. You will then be assigned an Occupational Therapist to conduct the initial OT evaluation, who will schedule directly with you. Dependent on your child's assessment, you will either continue working with the OT who had completed the initial evaluation or be assigned to our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will work with your child under the oversight of the OT Supervisor.
